A delegation of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan headed by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Zyabbarov paid a working visit to the largest agro-industrial exhibition MAHA2024 in Malaysia. The delegation also included Deputy Minister Rustem Gainullov. The purpose of the visit is to discuss cooperation in the supply of food products.
MAHA (Malaysia Agriculture Horticulture & Agrotourism) is the leading agricultural exhibition in Southeast Asia. The purpose of the exhibition is to popularize innovations in agriculture.
MAHA2024 showcases all the various components and efforts made by the state, as well as presents the numerous business opportunities offered by this fast-growing industry. It brings together suppliers of raw materials, farming companies, traders, processors, distributors and consumers to achieve common goals in developing the export and import potential of countries.
During the event, the negotiators examined in detail the prospects for developing foreign economic relations and emphasized their focus on developing cooperation in the agricultural sector.
Marat Zyabbarov, Prime Minister of Malaysia Anwar Ibrahim and Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry of Malaysia Datuk Seri Haji Mohamad bin Sabu emphasized the importance of strengthening trade and economic relations in the agro-industrial complex and increasing trade turnover between the Republic of Tatarstan and Malaysia.
During the working visit, export contracts were signed for the supply of goods produced in the Republic of Tatarstan, in particular, Emiz LLC and import contracts for the supply of food products from Malaysia. An agreement of intent for the supply of dairy products was also signed between Vamin LLC and Asterpac Sdn.bhd.
Also, as part of the visit to Malaysia, representatives of enterprises of the Republic of Tatarstan are taking part in the international exhibition MIHS (Malaysia International Halal Showcase).
This event corresponds to the goals and objectives of the national project "International Cooperation and Export".
