Today, as part of the Kazan Digital Week – 2024 forum, a round table "Digital transformation in the agricultural sector: challenges and opportunities" was held. The Republic of Tatarstan was represented at it by the First Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Lenar Garipov.
He spoke about the digital transformation of the agro-industrial complex in the republic. "Since 2023, the Republic of Tatarstan has been a leader in the field of digitalization of the agro-industrial complex, occupying first place in the dynamic rating of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation. Our republic creates a solid foundation for the sustainable development of digitalization in the agricultural sector," he noted.
Lenar Garipov noted the opportunities necessary for a qualitative leap in increasing labor productivity in the field of agricultural production. "The use of artificial intelligence helps reduce the requirements for employee qualifications and in some situations can compensate for the lack of personnel to perform routine tasks," he emphasized.
"The Republic of Tatarstan is actively implementing systems with elements of artificial intelligence, while training specialists at regional advanced training courses. Despite high import dependence, the Republic has regional government support measures that encourage farmers to use domestic developments. At the moment, there are practically no solutions left for which there are no Russian or, in particular, Tatarstan analogues," said Lenar Garipov.
The following measures have been developed to support farmers: holding seminars, exhibitions, training, developing advanced training courses, as well as regional measures to co-finance the implementation of domestic solutions in the agricultural sector.
In conclusion, the First Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan assured that the need for solutions for the digitalization of the agro-industrial complex remains high. This creates many opportunities for developers. It is important to develop new programs that take into account the specific needs of farmers, which will not only help improve the efficiency of work in the industry, but also support the development of the domestic IT sector.
