3 September 2024, Tuesday

Today, the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan held a briefing to discuss the upcoming work of the international forum Kazan Digital Week - 2024. It was attended by the First Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Lenar Garipov.

He spoke about the important topics that will be discussed at the forum: the development of digital technologies in the agricultural sector, and how digitalization in general affects agriculture. He also discussed the strategy for digitalization of the agro-industrial complex by 2030 and information security in this sector.

"Digitalization of agriculture in Tatarstan is not just a trend, but a key factor contributing to the rapid growth of the efficiency and competitiveness of the industry. Thanks to targeted efforts to implement digital technologies, the Republic of Tatarstan confidently ranks first in the dynamic rating of digitalization of the agro-industrial complex among Russian regions, confirming this with high indicators for 2023 and the first two quarters of 2024,” noted Lenar Garipov.

He focused on some digital solutions that are used in various sectors of agriculture, for example, in crop production - these are geoinformation and meteorological monitoring systems, as well as satellite monitoring; in animal husbandry, herd management systems, digital animal passports and systems for monitoring and controlling regulations are being actively introduced; in the processing industry, automated lines and systems using artificial intelligence are used.

“Based on the results of 2023 and the first half of 2024, the Republic of Tatarstan holds first place in the dynamic rating of regions in digitalization of the agro-industrial complex. This result is well-deserved and has been achieved thanks to our systematic work on digitalization of data in agriculture. Observing the dynamics of improving indicators in the work of the agro-industrial complex, we see the effectiveness of the system we have built. The automation support program, the advanced training program, the connection of additional services - all this really helps agricultural producers to conduct business more efficiently, and the Ministry to promptly receive up-to-date data and control the development of the entire agro-industrial complex," Lenar Garipov emphasized.
