The Federal State Budgetary Institution "Grain Quality Assessment Center" has expanded its accreditation scope for the study of livestock by-products in Tatarstan

The testing laboratory of the branch of the Federal State Budgetary Institution "Grain Quality Assessment Center" in the Republic of Tatarstan has successfully completed the procedure for confirming its competence and expanding its accreditation scope in a new area of ​​activity - conducting an examination of livestock by-products.

To date, two methods of the unified register of measurement methods of the Federal Information Fund for Ensuring the Uniformity of Measurements for the study of livestock by-products have been added to the expanded accreditation scope of the branch testing laboratory in the Republic of Tatarstan.

These methods define 10 main indicators that determine the gross content of impurity concentration of toxic metal elements, including cadmium, arsenic, mercury, lead, as well as the mass concentration of residual amounts of pesticides: dichlorodiphenyltrichloroethane and its metabolites, the sum of gamma isomers of hexachlorocyclohexane.

The requirements for the handling of livestock by-products are approved by the RF Government Resolution of 31.10.2022 N 1940 "On approval of requirements for the handling of livestock by-products", and their use is carried out on the basis of technical conditions that define their characteristics, methods of processing, recycling and conditions of use, control methods and safety requirements.

To date, the scope of accreditation of the testing laboratory of the branch of the Federal State Budgetary Institution "Center for Grain Quality Assessment" in the Republic of Tatarstan covers a total of 542 methods in the field of grain quality and safety, plant quarantine, as well as the examination of livestock by-products. 134 of these methods were included following an inspection conducted in August 2024.
