Today, the Ministry held a meeting with the Head of the Department of Agrarian Reforms, Agricultural Science and Education of the Ministry of Agriculture of Turkmenistan Kerim Saparov, chaired by the First Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Lenar Garipov. Deputy Ministers Dmitry Yashin and Gelyus Bayazitov also took part in it.
Lenar Garipov presented the capabilities of the agro-industrial complex of our republic and noted that Tatarstan is one of the promising regions of Russia and ranks 5th in terms of gross agricultural output. According to preliminary results, among Russian regions, the republic ranks: 1st place in milk production, 2nd place in potato production, 8th place in the production of livestock and poultry for slaughter, 9th place in egg production.
Last difficult year, more than 3.5 million tons of grain, 1.7 million tons of sugar beet, 880 thousand tons of potatoes and 264 thousand tons of vegetables were harvested.
The parties discussed issues of cooperation in the field of veterinary medicine, personnel training and digitalization of the agro-industrial complex.
