The plenary session of the All-Russian Forum of Breeders and Seed Growers "Russian Field-2024" was held today in Kazan.
The plenary session of the forum was held at the site of the GTRK "Korston", it was attended by the Minister of Agriculture of Russia Oksana Lut, Rais of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Zyabbarov, representatives of the agricultural sector, industry experts.
Let us remind you that the active business program of the All-Russian Forum of Breeders and Seed Growers was held during August 22 and 23. The focus is on new breeding methods, personnel issues, interaction between science and business, export of Russian seeds and other issues.
The head of the Russian Ministry of Agriculture Oksana Lut gave an opening speech to the participants of the plenary session. She spoke about the tasks of the Russian agro-industrial complex and the role of domestic breeding in achieving the goals.
“One of the main tasks of Russian breeders is to create varieties and hybrids that are needed now not only in Tatarstan, but also in all of Russia, taking into account the changing climate and the tasks of increasing production volumes. The second area is biotechnology. Today we held meetings to discuss the prospects for the development of biotechnology in Tatarstan. We believe that within the republic it is possible to place a large biotechnological cluster for the production of all the organic amino acids and vitamins that Russia needs; there are many areas here that can be implemented. We are confident that, taking into account all the support measures, by 2030 we will be able to achieve all the necessary security parameters for the Russian Federation,” Oksana Lut said.
Rustam Minnikhanov, welcoming the guests and experts of agribusiness, said: "We are sincerely glad that such a forum is taking place in Tatarstan."
"We will prepare more seriously for subsequent forums," he promised. - I am very glad that today we opened a new site - Agrobiotechnopark. Everything that we saw there today - experimental plots, new laboratories - it indicates that the most serious attention is paid to these issues, including personally by the Minister of Agriculture Oksana Nikolaevna. During the meeting, the participants discussed the results and prospects for the development of Russian selection, providing the market with domestic seeds, training scientific personnel and other topics important for the industry.
