Today, the Ministry, chaired by Deputy Minister Gelyus Bayazitov, held a meeting with the districts, where they summed up the results of livestock farming for the first half of 2024. It was attended by livestock consultants, heads of selection and breeding services of the departments of agriculture and food in municipal districts and other responsible persons.

Deputy Head of the Department for the Development of Livestock Industries Irek Gibadullin stated in his report that over the first 6 months of this year, agricultural formations milked more than 880 thousand tons of milk, with an increase of 7% compared to last year. The average milk yield per cow was 4 thousand 127 kg of milk. In terms of productivity per cow, we are on track with an 8% increase compared to last year, plus 291 kg.

205 thousand tons of meat were produced, including 47.8 thousand tons of cattle meat, 98% of 2023. Pig meat - 50.3 thousand tons with a growth of 2%, and poultry meat 105.8 thousand tons, 96% of 2023.

The number of cows increased according to the results of 6 months of the current year in 17 municipal districts. The number of cows is actively increasing in Menzelinsky, Kukmorsky, Baltasinsky, Aktanyshsky, Mamadyshsky, Sabinsky and Muslyumovsky districts.

Positive dynamics are observed in the number of pigs and poultry. The number of pigs in the republic is mainly concentrated in 6 large pig-breeding complexes. The largest increase in pig numbers is in Kamsky Bacon and Avangard. The enterprises Navruz and Phoenix also have an increase in livestock.

Positive dynamics in horse breeding is observed in 16 municipal districts. The largest increase in horse population is in the Drozhzhanovsky district, plus 216 heads compared to 2023 and 214 heads compared to the plan. Almetyevsky, Tyulyachinsky, Leninogorsky and Baltasinsky districts have significantly increased above the plan.

Then Irek Gibadullin drew attention to the issue of milk production. Here, there is also a good increase compared to the 2023 level in the Menzelinsky, Kukmorsky, Baltasinsky and Arsky districts. The high rate this year is in the Bugulminsky, Sabinsky and Aktanyshsky municipal districts.

"I would like to note our main leader in milk yield - this is the Atninsky district. In the first half of the year, more than 5 thousand 700 kg were milked per cow here. Next come the Menzelinsky, Sabinsky, Bugulminsky, Kukmorsky and Mamadyshsky municipal districts. Their increase is over 5 thousand kg,” he noted.

At the meeting, it was especially noted that it is necessary to take special control over the insemination of cows in private farms.

“It is important to count the livestock in order to more effectively see the situation with the increase in cattle, sheep and goats in the future and for the current year. Therefore, it is necessary to pay more attention to maintaining road maps. Close attention should be paid to feeding animals. It is feed that is the key to high productivity,” concluded Gelyus Bayazitov at the end of the meeting.
