Chocolate-covered strawberries, horse riding, the BRICS Sports Games prize: Sabantuy was celebrated at the Kazan Hippodrome
Today, a large-scale equestrian sports festival dedicated to Sabantuy was held on the territory of the Kazan Hippodrome.
The event was attended by the Rais of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, State Advisor of the Republic Mintimer Shaimiev, Akim of the Turkestan region Darkhan Satybaldy and Akim of the Kyzylorda region Nurlybek Nalibaev, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Zyabbarov and other officials.
This year Sabantuy at the hippodrome was held on a particularly large scale. An extensive entertainment program has been prepared for adults and children. Little visitors were able to ride horses and ponies and took part in various master classes.
For adults, there was a crafts fair, a food court, and a festival for the self-employed, where exclusive jewelry, home decor, stylish leather and wood products, original toys created with love, jute products, handmade plaster, souvenir soap and much more were presented!
Also on the territory of the equestrian sports complex, trade in the products of farmers and agricultural cooperatives of the Republic of Tatarstan was organized.
More than 14 prizes were raffled off among the riders. For the first time, the “BRICS Sports Games” prize was awarded at the races. Its owner was rider Artem Ivanov on the horse Pandorra Arkhyz.
The cup in honor of the grain growers of the Republic of Tatarstan went to Gennady Bolshakov on the horse Sir Royson.
In the race of Tatar horses for the Argamak prize at a distance of 2000 meters, Azalia Akhmetvaleeva won on a horse named Akhra.
The winner of the “Sabantuy -2024” cup was the horse Megalodon of Natalia Chelnokova.
In the race for the prize of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan at a distance of 1800 meters, Dalim Bijiev won on his horse Zuleikhad.
In the race for a prize in honor of rural workers, Nikolai Ukhanov on the horse Jeta Gray had no equal.
Also, as part of the races, there were demonstration performances by participants in the BRICS Games competition, and in parallel with the races, performances by Tatar pop stars: Ilsiya Badretdinova, Rayaz Fasikhov and Alina Sharipzhanova took place.
