The head of the information technology department of the branch of the Federal State Budgetary Institution "Rosselkhozcenter" in the Republic of Tatarstan, Niyaz Bulatov, was included in the examination committee in the field of "Cartography and Geoinformatics" of the Kazan (Volga Region) Federal University.
Among the members of the commission are two university teachers and two practitioners. After the end of the state exams, the commission members will accept the final works of future specialists.
The university and the Tatarstan branch of the Russian Agricultural Center have long-standing business ties. Thus, in 2022, the branch, together with KFU students, designed an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) with a special device for introducing beneficial insects into farmland. (Beneficial insects - entomophages - are used to protect crops from insect pests).
It is known that currently advanced technologies associated with geographic information systems, or GIS for short, are being actively developed in agriculture. They allow you to monitor fields to assess yield factors by measuring various crop parameters. GIS helps in decision making, forecasting, climate change modeling, crop structure analysis, crop pest control, etc.
