14 May 2024, Tuesday

The opening of the international halal fair “Kazan Halal Market” took place in the Kazan agro-industrial park. Rais of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov took part in the ceremony.

“Kazan Halal Market” will be held from May 14 to 19. This is the first official event within the framework of the 15th International Economic Forum “Russia - Islamic World: KazanForum”. In total, about 70 companies from various regions of Russia, as well as from Turkey, Iran, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and a number of other foreign countries take part in the fair.

Welcoming the ceremony participants, Rustam Minnikhanov noted that today the global market for halal products is developing dynamically. In Tatarstan alone there are more than 100 producers of food products according to the Halal standard. These goods are actively exported to countries near and far abroad. The development of export products will also be facilitated by the adopted this year national standard on requirements for halal certification bodies. “This will be an important step towards the recognition of our halal products abroad, a guarantee of compliance with the requirements and norms of Islam,” noted Rais of the Republic.

Rustam Minnikhanov emphasized that halal fairs in Tatarstan are a good tradition that allows its participants to establish new trade ties. “Today there is a wide selection of various products from the regions of Russia, as well as from foreign countries. I wish the fair participants productive work, and the guests - successful shopping and bright impressions. We will be glad to see you at other KazanForum events,” added Rais Tatarstan.

Then Rustam Minnikhanov got acquainted with the range of products presented and talked with representatives of the companies participating in the fair. The site features food, cosmetics, clothing, accessories and household goods.
