At the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan, under the chairmanship of the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Zyabbarov, a meeting was held with the management of the Agro-industrial holding "Indeal" on the issue of developing the export of agricultural products of the Republic of Tatarstan. Deputy Minister Rustem Gainullov and heads of agricultural enterprises of the republic also took part in it.
Indeal is a vertically integrated agro-industrial holding company specializing in trade and production activities. The group of companies has built its own vertically integrated infrastructure: a feed mill, poultry houses, feedlots, a slaughter plant and a turkey deep processing plant. The company began its export activities in August 2023.
During this period, a team was assembled and an export supply tool was created, and an export range of its own products was launched at all the company’s factories.
In his welcoming speech, Marat Zyabbarov noted that in terms of agricultural production volumes, the Republic of Tatarstan is in first place in the Volga Federal District and fifth in the Russian Federation. With 2% of the country's farmland, the republic produces 3.5% of its agricultural products.
The share of agricultural products in the gross regional product of Tatarstan is 8%.
“The republic has the ability to supply significant volumes beyond its borders. In the direction “Export of agricultural products”, which is implemented within the framework of the national project “International Cooperation and Export”, the performance indicator at the end of 2023 was also exceeded and in absolute terms amounted to 458.6 million US dollars. Compared to 2019, the export of agricultural products of the Republic of Tatarstan increased 2.4 times,” he emphasized.
The Halal direction is developing successfully, the volume of exports increased 1.8 times compared to 2022 and amounted to 11.5 million US dollars.
Every year, the supply of halal products is the central theme of developing cooperation with partners from Islamic countries within the framework of the summit “Russia - Islamic World: KazanSummit”.
Products of the agro-industrial complex are exported by 258 participants in foreign economic activity with a geographical distribution of supplies to 52 countries.
