On March 16, traditional agricultural fairs began in the republic at 14 sites in the city of Kazan, 2 sites in Naberezhnye Chelny and the Zelenodolsk region, 3 sites in Nizhnekamsk and with varying frequency in municipal areas.
The fairgrounds in Kazan were inspected by the First Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Lenar Garipov.
Following the results of 4 fair weeks, agricultural products were sold for a total amount of 276.1 million rubles, of which 418.2 tons of vegetables, including 225.5 tons of potatoes, 72 tons of bottled milk, 168 tons of sugar, 873.7 thousands chicken eggs, 347.7 tons of meat, including 179.5 tons of beef.
33 municipal districts and 3,119 transport units were involved in holding the fairs.
The fairs are scheduled until April 28, 2024.
