The meeting was chaired by Deputy Minister Gelyus Bayazitov. The event was also attended by livestock consultants, heads of selection and breeding services of agriculture and food departments in municipal areas and other responsible persons.

The head of the department for the development of livestock industries, Siren Nigmatzyanov, reported in his speech that in 2 months of this year, 283 thousand tons of milk were produced, with an increase of 23 thousand tons, 109% compared to last year. In terms of productivity per cow over 2 months, there is a 10% increase.

17 municipal districts increased the number of cows to the level of 2023. They continue to increase the number of cows in the Menzelinsky, Kukmorsky, Elabuga, Baltasinsky, Arsky, Sabinsky and Muslyumovsky districts.

The pig population is concentrated in 6 large pig farms. The dynamics of livestock on all farms is positive. The largest increase in the pig population is in Kamsky Bacon, Navruz. Avangard, Vostochny and Phoenix.

The number of horses in 18 municipal districts increased. The largest number of horses is in the Sabinsky, Baltasinsky and Buinsky municipal districts.

Next, Siren Nigmatzyanov focused on milk production. The largest increase compared to last year was in the Menzelinsky, Alkeevsky, Kukmorsky and Baltasinsky districts. Today they are the driving force in the republic for increasing milk production.

“I would also like to note our undisputed leaders who have increased volume for more than 1 thousand tons, these are Yelabuga, Bugulminsky, Sabinsky, Aznakaevsky and Aktanyshsky districts. The Arsky district has a high rate this year, plus 2.5 thousand tons,” he noted.

Next, the head of the department of breeding and animal reproduction, Damir Minnebaev, made a report. In his report, he said that based on the results of two months of work, the calf output was 46 thousand 324 heads, including 22 thousand 600 heads in February. 165 thousand 823 piglets were received, which is 5% or 7943 pigs more than last year. There are 8,700 lambs and kids, and 160 foals.

Damir Minnebaev specifically focused on examples of dairy complexes in the industrial sector, where they persistently and systematically introduce modern technology and programs for herd management, feeding, digitalization and technically improve production - for each employee of such a complex, an average of 1 ton of milk is produced daily. The use of synchronization methods makes it possible to better manage reproduction and, accordingly, better manage the economy of the farm.

“It is necessary to take special control over the insemination of cows and heifers, especially in the spring, to organize a clear division into groups, taking into account the physiological state,” he noted.

The situation regarding reproduction in private plots was also announced. As of March 1, 2024, 14.2 thousand cows were inseminated, plus 0.3 thousand heads compared to last year. Artificial insemination coverage was 15%.

At the end of the meeting, Siren Nigmatzyanov invited those present to the seminar “Russian ARKA Herd Management System”, which will be held at the Elite State Enterprise JSC on March 19, 2024.
