7 March 2024, Thursday

Today, the Ministry, chaired by the First Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Lenar Garipov, held a meeting of the Commission on compliance with the requirements for official conduct of state civil servants and the resolution of conflicts of interest. It was also attended by public representatives and a representative of the Rais Office of the Republic of Tatarstan on anti-corruption policy issues, Rustam Gayazov.

The legislation on the state civil service provides for the right of a state civil servant, with prior notification of the employer's representative, to perform other paid work.

The main condition for the implementation of this right is the absence of a conflict of interest. In addition, before starting to perform other paid work, the employee must notify the employer's representative of this intention. That is, sending by state civil servants to the employer’s representative of a preliminary notice of intention to perform other paid work is a mandatory action for him.

The commission reviewed the notifications received by the Ministry of civil servants about performing other paid work that does not entail a conflict of interest. These notifications were not received in a timely manner. At the same time, paid work does not entail a conflict of interest.

Based on the results of the consideration, the Commission decided to recommend to the Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan: to point out to state civil servants the inadmissibility of violating the requirements for official conduct, without bringing them to disciplinary liability.
