A delegation from Qatar visited the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan
Today, a delegation from Qatar visited the Ministry of Agriculture and Food. The working meeting was chaired by Deputy Minister Rafael Fattakhov.
He presented the capabilities of the agro-industrial complex of Tatarstan and noted that the Republic is one of the most promising regions of Russia and ranks 5th in terms of gross agricultural output. Among Russian regions, according to preliminary results, the republic ranks: 1st in milk production, 2nd place in potato production, 8th place in production of livestock meat and poultry for slaughter, and 9th place in egg production.
And this difficult year, more than 3.5 million tons of grain, 1.7 million tons of sugar beets, 880 thousand tons of potatoes and 264 thousand tons of vegetables were collected. These results will make it possible to fully provide the population with food.
Next, the meeting participants discussed the issue of exporting Halal products under sanctions, as well as the development of relations between the State of Qatar and the Republic of Tatarstan.
The Deputy Minister also invited representatives of Qatar to KAZAN-FORUM 2024, which will be held in May, and the Agrovolga International Exhibition, which will be held on July 3-5.
