Agrarian scientists of Tatarstan were awarded State Prizes in the field of science and technology
State awards of the Republic of Tatarstan in the field of science and technology for 2023 were presented on February 2 in the Kazan Kremlin. Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Rafael Fattakhov took part in the ceremony.
Prizes, diplomas and signs of the State Prize of the Republic of Tatarstan were presented to the laureates by the Rais of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov. Among the works that received a high award is the scientific work of Tatarstan agricultural scientists in the field of land reclamation.
Reclamation workers, representatives of the Kazan Agrarian University and scientific practitioners were awarded for the work “Development and implementation of innovative methods of reclamation agriculture that ensure increased economic efficiency of agricultural production in the Republic of Tatarstan.”
The team awarded the State Prize of the Republic of Tatarstan included:

Doctor of Technical Sciences, Rector of the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Education "Kazan State Agrarian University" Airat Valiev;
Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, head of the peasant (farm) enterprise Gennady Samigullinovich Minnullin;
Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Organization of Agricultural Production, Kazan State Agrarian University Marcel Mansurovich Khismatullin;
Candidate of Agricultural Sciences, head of the peasant (farm) enterprise Radik Kadyrovich Vafin;
Candidate of Agricultural Sciences, Head of the Department of Land Management and Cadastre, Kazan State Agrarian University Salavat Suleymanov;
General Director of OJSC Trust Company Tatmelioration Rustem Sungatullin.
Rustam Minnikhanov recalled that today’s meeting is of a special nature - it opens a series of solemn events dedicated to the Day of Russian Science in the republic, and takes place in the Year of Scientific and Technological Development of Tatarstan.
A distinctive feature of the republican research and development sector is that the efforts of mature, established scientists are constantly complemented by the energy and initiative of the younger generation, Rustam Minnikhanov further said.
Speaking in response, the head of the work, Mars Khismatullin, thanked the leadership of the republic, the Academy of Sciences and the Ministry of Agricultural Products of Tatarstan for the high assessment of their work and noted that the team of authors had developed and implemented a comprehensive system of reclamation agriculture and a technology for cultivating crops on irrigated lands, adapted to the soil and climatic conditions of the Republic Tatarstan, which allows to get a 3-4 times bigger harvest. This technology has been developed for all major crops that are cultivated in Tatarstan. The team of authors also developed an algorithm for obtaining two harvests per year per unit of irrigated area.
He also added that, together with the Kazan Agrarian University, with the support of Rais of RT, an agrobiotechnopark was created - a scientific and reclamation site, where fundamental and applied scientific research in the field of reclamation agriculture and plant breeding is being carried out using various methods and rates of irrigation, various techniques and technology options are being developed.
“It’s gratifying that your works are distinguished not only by theoretical novelty, but also by high applied value. I wish you not to stop there and persistently move forward towards new goals and breakthrough ideas. I’m sure your main achievements are still ahead!” said Rustam Minnikhanov, addressing to the laureates and ceremony participants.
