Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan: “In Tatarstan, eggs production is 13% above the consumption norm”
Today, agricultural fairs were held again in Kazan and major cities of the republic. Let us remind you that they began on September 9 and are held at 14 sites in the city of Kazan, 2 sites in Naberezhnye Chelny and the Zelenodolsk municipal district, as well as at 3 sites in Nizhnekamsk. Municipal areas also hold fairs at varying intervals.
The work of the sites on Chekhov and Tinchurin streets was assessed today by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Zyabbarov. Accompanied by First Deputy Minister Lenar Garipov, he inspected the shopping arcades. As expected, today there was an increased demand for eggs. By 8 am, more than 200 thousand pieces had been sold at the fairgrounds of Kazan.
It should be noted that Tatarstan is fully self-sufficient in livestock products. Eggs are produced 13% above the consumption rate. We produce 28% more milk than we consume, meat production is 29% higher than the consumption norm.
Over the 11 months of this year, 1 billion 453 million eggs were produced, which is 33.6 million more than the same period last year.
Fairs have a high social significance and are one of the most popular formats for marketing agricultural products produced by republican producers. City residents are offered a wide range of products at an affordable price.
The final fair this year will be held on December 23.
