A business delegation from the People's Republic of China visited the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan
Today, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan was visited by a business delegation from the People's Republic of China. The working meeting was chaired by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Zyabbarov. Also Deputy Ministers Dmitry Yashin and Gelyus Bayazitov, head of the department of investment policy and target programs Ruzal Iskhakov and head of the project office of JSC Racin Leysan Mallyamova took part in the event.
Marat Zyabbarov made a welcoming speech. “We often visit the People’s Republic of China and there are joint projects with Chinese companies in the Republic of Tatarstan”.
Marat Zyabbarov presented the capabilities of the agro-industrial complex of Tatarstan. He noted that Tatarstan is one of the most promising regions of Russia and ranks 5th in terms of gross agricultural output. Among Russian regions, according to preliminary results, the republic ranks: 1st place in milk production, 2nd place in potato production, 8th place in production of livestock meat and poultry for slaughter, 9th place in egg production.
And in this difficult year, more than 3.5 million tons of grain, 1.7 million tons of sugar beets, 790 thousand tons of potatoes and 250 thousand tons of vegetables were collected. These results will make it possible to fully provide the population with food.
Next, the meeting participants discussed issues of bilateral cooperation in the field of supply of equipment for advanced processing of wheat.
