The environmental and economic benefits of using gas engine fuel in agriculture were studied by participants in the Rosselkhozbank Farmer's School project in Tatarstan.
Listeners learned that gas motor fuel for agricultural enterprises is 1.5-2 times cheaper than traditional fuels. It allows to significantly reduce the costs of agricultural enterprises, and as a result, the cost of agricultural products. In the near future, the volume of fuel consumption, including in the agro-industrial complex, may increase by 3.5 times, which will reduce the costs of domestic agricultural producers on fuel by 100 billion rubles per year.
Natural gas as a motor fuel will reduce negative emissions into the atmosphere. This will help improve the environmental well-being of rural areas for the development of the production of eco-products and agritourism.
According to Rosselkhozbank experts, the development of gas engine infrastructure for the agro-industrial complex is of strategic importance. The share of natural gas motor fuel in the structure of energy consumption for agricultural machinery will increase to 7% by 2030.
The transition to natural gas motor fuel in the agricultural sector will be stimulated, first of all, by the development of gas filling infrastructure in the regions of the Russian Federation, the intensification of agriculture and the development of rural areas. State support measures or special programs of Rosselkhozbank will help you purchase equipment with a gas turbine or re-equip your existing one.
