The Tatarstan Republican Committee of the Trade Union of Workers of the Agro-Industrial Complex of the Russian Federation organized a training seminar for labor protection representatives at the Labor Palace. The opportunity was also provided for online participation of specialists from remote areas of the republic.
The event was attended by 87 chairmen of district and primary organizations, specialists and occupational safety representatives working in organizations of the agro-industrial complex of the republic. The main speaker of the seminar was the head of the department - chief technical labor inspector of the Federation of Trade Unions of the Republic of Tatarstan, Irina Andina.
The chairman of the Republican Committee of the Trade Union of Agro-Industrial Workers of the Russian Federation, Farida Garifullina, delivered a welcoming speech. “Today, trade union organizations and responsible labor protection specialists face a common task: to carry out explanatory work in work collectives, to ensure that employers comply with labor and labor protection legislation, and to implement the measures provided in collective agreements,” she noted.
In her speech, the chief technical inspector Irina Andina began with the main regulatory documents governing labor safety issues at enterprises. It was also important to remind students about the procedure for conducting investigations of industrial accidents and about the necessary measures to prevent industrial injuries and occupational diseases. In matters of ensuring safety, and therefore decent working conditions, the role of trade union organizations is high. In agricultural organizations where primary trade union organizations operate, there are practically no cases of occupational injuries.
Irina Andina spoke about key changes in labor protection legislation. The report was supplemented with real-life examples and a vivid presentation, which certainly made the information even more understandable and accessible.
At the end of the seminar, participants asked the speaker questions, to which they received detailed answers. Participants received a presentation and other documents useful for their work.
Concluding the meeting, Farida Garifullina thanked Irina Andina for a complete and detailed analysis of the topic of labor protection. And she wished all the participants of the event systematic, effective work in matters of preserving the life and health of workers.
