The Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan was visited by a delegation from the Stavropol Territory
Today the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan was visited by a delegation from the Stavropol Territory. The working meeting was attended by Deputy Ministers of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marsel Makhmutov and Dmitry Yashin, representatives of the Ministry of the Republic of Tatarstan, as well as the head and specialists of the agro-industrial complex of the Stavropol Territory.
Marcel Makhmutov presented the capabilities of the agro-industrial complex of Tatarstan. He noted that Tatarstan is one of the most promising regions of Russia and ranks 5th in terms of gross agricultural output. Among Russian regions, according to preliminary results, the republic ranks: 1st place in milk production, 2nd place in potato production, 8th place in production of livestock meat and poultry for slaughter, 9th place in egg production.
And in this difficult year, more than 3.5 million tons of grain, 1.7 million tons of sugar beets, 790 thousand tons of potatoes and 250 thousand tons of vegetables were collected. These results will make it possible to fully provide the population with food.
The meeting participants discussed current issues related to support measures, and also discussed the topic of attracting personnel to agriculture.
The guests thanked for the warm welcome and appreciated the achievements of the agro-industrial complex of the Republic of Tatarstan.
