The ministry discussed current issues in the baking industry

Today, the Ministry, chaired by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Zyabbarov, held a meeting with the heads of bakery enterprises.

Bakery enterprises represent a strategic sector of the Russian economy, as it is designed to ensure a sustainable supply of the population with the necessary quantity and quality of essential products. The baking industry of Tatarstan occupies one of the leading places in the agro-industrial complex.

As First Deputy Minister Lenar Garipov noted in his report, out of 85 regions of the Russian Federation, the Republic of Tatarstan is in 19th place for bread made from rye flour and from a mixture of rye and wheat flour, while compared to the same period last year, the average retail price in the republic has decreased by 2.46%, while in the Russian Federation the price increased by 2.6%.

“We are in 26th place for bread made from wheat flour, and compared to the same period last year, the average retail price decreased by 7.8%, while in the Russian Federation the price increased by 1.5%,” explained Lenar Garipov.

Next, he focused on the support measures that are available in the republic for this industry.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan provides the following subsidies to bakery enterprises:
Organizations and individual entrepreneurs to reimburse part of the costs associated with the production and sale of social bread - 4.5 rubles per 1 kg of bread.

For January-September 2023, subsidies were provided to 55 organizations in the amount of 164.0 million rubles.
Subsidies to bakery enterprises to reimburse part of the costs associated with modernizing production facilities in the amount of 30% of the cost of purchased equipment. The subsidy amount is not more than 30.0 million per recipient. The selection will be announced in November of this year.

Next, a discussion of current issues took place. The main problem for all businesses is the lack of personnel. Young professionals are looking for easier work for the same money. General Director of Chelny Khleb JSC Rafael Yunusov proposed reviving schools to train qualified personnel for the industry.
