Rustam Minnikhanov to agricultural workers: Thanks to your dedicated work, there is always fresh bread, milk, meat and vegetables on the tables
One of the important tasks is to ensure that the life of villagers meets the most modern standards. This was stated today by Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov at a gala event dedicated to the Day of Agricultural and Processing Industry Workers.
The celebrations took place at the Kazan Expo International Exhibition Center.
The event opened with a concert and theatrical prologue. A congratulatory speech from the Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation Dmitry Patrushev was read out.
Congratulating rural workers and veterans of the agro-industrial complex of Tatarstan on their professional holiday, Rustam Minnikhanov noted that today those who sincerely love their work have gathered in the hall. “Thanks to your dedicated work, our citizens always have fresh bread, milk, meat and vegetables on their tables. I am glad to welcome our guests of honor – our veterans. We are grateful to you for your contribution to the development of agriculture and the republic,” he said.
This year, a decent grain harvest was collected - 3.5 million tons after processing. A gross harvest of 1.5 million tons of sugar beets, 790 thousand tons of potatoes, and 250 thousand tons of vegetables will also be provided. Sufficient amounts of feed have been prepared for productive wintering of livestock.
The largest grain threshing was provided by Tetyushsky (172 thousand tons); Buinsky (165 thousand tons); Arsky districts (159 thousand tons). Productivity over 35 c/ha was achieved in Tetyushsky, Drozhzhanovsky, Kukmorsky, Kama-Ustinsky districts.
For the good results, Rustam Minnikhanov thanked the leading agricultural enterprises of the republic, including Kolos (Tetyushsky district), Tsilna (Drozhzhanovsky district), Bitaman (Vysokogorsky district), “Agricultural Production Complex named after Vakhitov" (Kukmorsky district), "Agroaktiv" (Apastovsky district).
Leading agricultural holdings also demonstrated good results from the work of thousands of rural workers. These are “Avgust-Agro”, “Agrosila”, “Ak Bars Holding”, “Chistopolye”, “Krasny Vostok Agro”.
Rustam Minnikhanov noted the most distinguished ones. These are the combine operators with the biggest grain threshing volume : Albert Lazarev, Ilmas and Marat Nizamov, Lenar Zaripov, the best machine operator in the country, Irek Galiev, who won the Russian Plowing Championship this year.
“Our livestock farmers are the country's leaders in milk production. For the second year in a row, milk yield will exceed 2 million tons,” said Rustam Minnikhanov. - About 530 thousand tons of meat will also be produced. The main contribution to this is made by traditional leaders - Kukmorsky, Atninsky, Baltasinsky and Sabinsky districts, Mamadyshsky district with the greatest increase in cattle meat production, Tukaevsky district - the center of industrial pig and poultry farming of the republic.”
Horse breeders of the republic are actively engaged in the revival of the Tatar horse breed. To popularize it, this year a horse race was organized to Altai along a route of 3 thousand km. This made it possible to introduce the residents of the country not only to the Tatar breed of horses, but also to traditions, culture and lifestyle.
“The agro-industrial complex is actively developing. We are grateful for the systemic support of the industry to Russian President Vladimir Putin, the Government of the country, and the Russian Ministry of Agriculture,” said Rustam Minnikhanov.
The republic continues to build and modernize livestock breeding facilities, grain farms, and elevators. Over the last 4 years alone, the volume of investments has exceeded 150 billion rubles.
“In the current conditions, we must fully provide our citizens with basic food products. This is a food security issue. An important factor in rural development is small forms of farming. In Tatarstan, 474 thousand personal subsidiary plots, more than 4 thousand farms, and over 3000 consumer cooperatives are successfully operating.”
As Rustam Minnikhanov recalled, today farmers work in entire dynasties, experience and knowledge are passed on from generation to generation.
“Our task is to ensure that the life of villagers meets the most modern standards. The republic is implementing programs aimed at the integrated development of territories. This year there are 44 such programs. Schools, kindergartens, first aid stations, clubs, and sports grounds are opening. On behalf of the townspeople, I would like to express my gratitude to the villagers for holding weekly fairs of agricultural products.
He presented state awards of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tatarstan to the most distinguished workers in agriculture and the processing industry.
From the stage, agricultural workers were congratulated by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Zyabbarov. He thanked the farmers and also expressed gratitude to the leadership of the republic and the federal center.
