Today, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan, chaired by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Zyabbarov, held a training event for Tatarstan agricultural producers and exporters on the topic “FESCO logistics solutions for agricultural cargo.”
In his welcoming speech, Marat Zyabbarov noted that the issue of export is one of the most important areas not only for the Republic of Tatarstan, but also for Russia as a whole. “Based on the results of 9 months, exports of agricultural products of the Republic of Tatarstan amounted to $304.8 million, a significant share in the structure of exports is occupied by products of the fat and oil industry - $204.9 million,” he said.
“Tatarstan producers are ready to offer the widest range of popular agricultural products. In this regard, we are faced with the task of building new international transport corridors and expanding the logistics infrastructure. We are consistently resolving these issues with our partners, including the Russian leader in container transportation - the transport company FESCO,” emphasized Farid Abdulganiev.
In turn, Alexey Kravchenko stated that more and more agricultural producers in Russia are switching to container supplies. Thus, in 2023, 56% of container exports from Russia will be grain crops, primarily the supply of flax grains. Also in great demand abroad are barley and peas, beet pulp, as well as supplies of rapeseed, sunflower and soybean oil in flexitanks. According to him, over the past 12 months, imports of goods through Far Eastern ports to Tatarstan have increased by 79%, and exports of Tatarstan products have tripled.
“As one of the largest transport companies in Russia, FESCO has exceptional competencies in the field of container logistics. Thanks to our extensive experience working with China, India, Vietnam and many other countries, our Group is ready to offer agricultural producers from Tatarstan a full range of logistics services for the transportation of liquid and bulk cargo in containers using specialized liners - flexitanks and liner bags, as well as big bags, both along land railway routes and along intermodal chains through the ports of Vladivostok, St. Petersburg or Novorossiysk. FESCO can also organize for farmers in the region import container transportation of spare parts for agricultural machinery, chemical plant protection products and other goods for the further development of the agro-industrial complex of the Republic of Tatarstan,” said Alexey Kravchenko.
FESCO experts who took part in the event answered numerous questions and suggestions from Tatarstan agricultural producers. Commenting on the results of the meeting, Anna Guryanova, executive director of the ANO Center for Container Logistics (CCL), noted that existing container services open up new prospects for enterprises of the Tatarstan agro-industrial complex to conquer sales markets in the countries of the Asia-Pacific region, South Asia, the Middle East and Africa.
“Convenient and safe container multimodal services are the future of cargo transportation. The goal of the Container Logistics Center, recently established in Tatarstan, is to help shippers and consignees master new highly efficient logistics channels. Our experts will help you choose the most profitable cargo delivery scheme,” said Anna Guryanova.
