Message from Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov to the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan for 2024
Rustam Minnikhanov addressed the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan for 2024 today with an Address to the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan. The announcement of the Address took place in the State Great Concert Hall Saidasheva, Kazan.
“Today the Republic of Tatarstan is a supporting subject of the Russian Federation, an advanced and economically successful region. Our achievements are based on the creative work of all generations of Tatarstan residents, their devotion to the republic, and love for the Motherland. Our common task is to continue this path step by step, making our contribution to the development of a strong Russia,” Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan began his speech.
As noted, one of the key sectors of the economy is agriculture. This year has been difficult for farmers due to drought. Nevertheless, farmers managed to harvest 3.7 million tons of grain crops. It is also expected to harvest more than 1.5 million tons of sugar beets, at least 800 thousand tons of potatoes and 300 thousand tons of vegetables. This makes it possible to fully provide the population with food.
“I would like to thank the villagers for their difficult and very important work! I express my deep gratitude to all of you!” Rais RT emphasized.
These indicators are the result of systematic work in recent years to develop and support agricultural production, including in terms of subsidizing the purchase of mineral fertilizers, supporting land reclamation, creating irrigated lands, introducing moisture-saving technologies, and implementing a technical modernization program.
Rais thanked the Tatneft company, which annually provides agricultural producers with high-quality diesel fuel at a discounted price. Actively introducing new technologies, some farms, despite unfavorable conditions, produced a good harvest this year. Among them are the companies “KOLOS”, “Narmonka”, “Aktanysh”, as well as farmers Ilgiz Zagiev, Zufar Mukhametshin, Azat Davletshin, Ravil Bikchurov.
Tatarstan is the leader in milk production in the country. Last year, Tatarstan produced more than 2 million tons of milk for the first time. A significant contribution is made by the Kukmorsky district - more than 400 tons of milk per day. There are Sabinsky, Atninsky and Baltasinsky districts with more than 300 tons of milk produced daily.
“Our advanced farms are “APK Food Program” of the Mamadysh district, “Agricultural Enterprise named after Saidashev" in Tukaevsky district, as well as the company "August-Agro", noted Rustam Minnikhanov.
For the development of livestock farming in the republic, support is provided in all areas, from the acquisition of breeding livestock to the construction of high-tech complexes and feed centers.
According to Rais of the republic, our main task is to prevent a decrease in the number of livestock. Roadmaps for its restoration and construction of new livestock complexes have been adopted by our agricultural holdings. The Ministry of Agriculture and Food needs to ensure control over their implementation.
