In the village of Novy Kyrlay, Arsky district, the traditional Horse Day holiday was held.
First Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Lenar Garipov and Deputy Minister Gelyus Bayazitov took part in it.
As part of the equestrian festival, races were held at distances of 40, 80, 100, 120 and 160 km, as well as horse races of Tatar, thoroughbred, semi-mixed, and local breeds. Various contests, competitions, exhibitions, dog handler demonstrations and an agricultural fair were also organized. The performances of Tatar pop stars gave a festive mood.
In addition to horse racing, horse breeders could show their skills and abilities in competitions for the most exemplary cart, the fastest driver, and a master class on horse shoeing was organized.
At the race of Tatar horses, the first to finish was the horse Yalkyn, with jockey Regina Zaripova.
Maxim Saifutdinov won the race for harnessed breed horses “Rural Dzhigits” on his horse Marseille.
In the equestrian race at a distance of 40 km, the horse Beshtak, jockey Adel Usmanova, finished first; at a distance of 100 km, Ekaterina Stepkina won on the horse Duan.
In the 120 km equestrian race among juniors, the first to finish was the horse Diesel, jockey Daria Loseva; among adults - Maria Akafyeva on the horse Infinity.
