Issues of Russian-Chinese cooperation in the agricultural sector were discussed at the Ministry

Today, the Ministry held a meeting with the Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region of the People's Republic of China Mardan Mukiyit. It was attended by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Zyabbarov, Deputy Minister Rustem Gainullov.

First, the guests were shown the Museum of the History of Agriculture of the Republic of Tatarstan, then they took a tour of the Palace of Farmers.

“We are pleased to welcome you to our Ministry. The format of bilateral cooperation with partners from China is actively gaining momentum. We are ready to continue and strengthen our interaction on issues of expanding trade and economic cooperation, participation in joint exhibitions and events,” noted Marat Zyabbarov.

He presented the agro-industrial complex of Tatarstan and said that the Republic of Tatarstan ranks first in the Volga Federal District in terms of gross agricultural output. Last year, the volume of gross output, taking into account all categories of farms, amounted to more than 333 billion rubles, with a growth index 25.6%.

In 2022, products worth $18.3 million were exported from the Republic of Tatarstan to the People's Republic of China, of which: meat products - $2 million, oil and fat industry products - $15.2 million, food and processing industry products - 643 thousand dollars, other agricultural products - 313.3 thousand dollars. At the end of August this year, products worth $22.8 million were exported.

Last year, products worth $4.1 million were imported from the People's Republic of China to the Republic of Tatarstan. These are animal or vegetable fats, oils and their fractions, lactose and lactose syrup, vegetables, fruits, nuts.

Marat Zyabbarov noted that Tatarstan is ready to cooperate in the implementation of joint investment projects.
