"August-Agro" invests 370 million rubles in the field irrigation system

24 August 2023, Thursday

On the fields of the August-Muslyum farm in the Urazmetevsky rural settlement, in the summer of 2023, 12 Kazanka circular sprinklers with a coverage area of 270 hectares were installed and launched in test mode. The source of water for irrigation was the river Sikia. An 11-kilometer water pipeline was laid from it to the fields, the construction of which began in 2022 and was completed in the middle of summer 2023. To create the irrigation system, domestic equipment was used - machines from the Kazan Plant of Irrigation Equipment: according to the specialists of Avgust-Agro, the installations are not inferior in quality and characteristics to foreign analogues, but at the same time they are cheaper by 30-35%. The system will be fully operational in the spring in the 2024 agricultural season.

Taking into account the peculiarities of the field configuration in "August-Muslum", multi-section installations were mounted with the number of supports from 3 to 8 for each. All installations have special nozzles that form a fine rain, which ensures uniformity of watering. The machine has the ability to reverse movement - it is able to turn both clockwise and in the opposite direction, regulate and alternate irrigation of different crops. The 12 machines will be serviced by two operators who control the pressure indicators and the operation of the pumping station, and two locksmiths who monitor the proper functioning of the installations directly on the field.

“The amount of investment in the first stage of the irrigation system project amounted to 185 million rubles. Moisture deficiency is not uncommon in Tatarstan, and it is well understood here how important such technological innovations in agricultural production are from the point of view of crop conservation. Therefore, part of the expenses incurred is covered by the federal and republican targeted programs to support land reclamation. Next year, August-Agro plans to implement the second phase of the project, within which 11 more sprinklers will be installed in the fields, and the construction of the second water pipeline has already started,” says Aidar Galyautdinov, General Director of August-Agro Management Company.
