The Republic of Tatarstan entered the top five regions for the production of honey

In 2022, 4.1 thousand tons of honey were produced in Tatarstan. The Republic entered the top 5 honey-bearing regions of Russia, which included Bashkiria, Altai Territory, Voronezh Region and Krasnodar Territory.

At the end of 2022, a little more than 67 thousand tons were produced in Russia. Since 2017, honey production has been growing at an average rate of 1% per year.

According to official statistics, in 2022 there were 2.7 million bee colonies in the Russian Federation, of which 93.6% of bee colonies are concentrated in households, in agricultural organizations 1.7% of bee colonies, peasant  farms  - 4.6 % of bee colonies. At the same time, honey production in peasant farms is growing at a faster pace - in 2022, the increase was 14.3%, in all categories of farms - 3.8%.
