11 August 2023, Friday

Today, the Ministry chaired by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Zyabbarov hosted a meeting on the conversion of vehicles to gas motor fuel. It was attended by Deputy Minister Rafael Fattakhov, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Marat Minibaev, representatives of PJSC Gazprom, heads of holdings and enterprises.

In the Republic of Tatarstan, marketing programs of OOO Gazprom Gazomotornoye Toplivo are being implemented to convert vehicles to natural gas fuel. In order to implement these programs, there are certain benefits and subsidies. A new program has been adopted, according to which you can save up to 100% on the conversion of vehicles to compressed natural gas and a set of gas-cylinder equipment.

“The Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan is introducing gas motor fuel into the industry in two directions: compressed natural gas and liquefied natural gas. Since 2014, agro-industrial complex enterprises have begun to use vehicles running on compressed natural gas. Currently, 630 gas vehicles are operated by agro-industrial complex organizations,” Marat Zyabbarov noted.

The leadership of the Republic of Tatarstan pays great attention to the development of the gas motor fuel market, and the republic has accumulated considerable experience in this direction.

“CNG vehicles emit 2 times less nitrogen oxides, 10 times less carbon monoxide and 3 times less other carbon oxides than gasoline vehicles. The combustion of natural gas does not form soot, and there are no emissions of lead and sulfur. In general, the use of CNG provides 9 times less smoke in the surrounding air. Also, the use of methane makes it possible to obtain significant savings for enterprises operating transport on gas engine fuel,” said Marat Minibaev, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade.

Further discussion of issues and exchange of views took place.
