Iranian delegation visited the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan
Today the Ministry hosted a meeting with a delegation from Iran. It was attended by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Zyabbarov, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food Rustem Gainullov and General Director of JSC "Ratsin" Denis Samodurov.
First of all, Marat Zyabbarov presented the agro-industrial complex of the Republic of Tatarstan. He noted that Tatarstan is one of the promising regions of Russia and ranks 5th in terms of gross agricultural output. According to preliminary results, among the Russian regions, the republic occupies: 1st place in milk production, 2nd place in potato production, 8th place in production of livestock and poultry for slaughter, 9th place in egg production.
Over the past year, they harvested more than 5 million tons of grain, more than 800 thousand tons of potatoes, 240 thousand 74 tons of vegetables and milked more than 2 million tons of milk.
Further, the participants of the meeting discussed the terms of cooperation and the possibility of exporting grain.
Marat Zyabbarov also invited representatives of Iran to take part in the International Economic Forum - Islamic World: "KAZANFORUM 2024".
The Iranian delegation appreciated the achievements of the Republic of Tatarstan and thanked for the warm welcome.
