The Chinese delegation visited the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan
Today the Ministry hosted a meeting with a delegation from the People's Republic of China. It was attended by First Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Lenar Garipov, Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Tatarstan Rafael Fattakhov, Head of the Food Market Development Department Artur Shamsiev, Head of the Breeding and Animal Reproduction Department Gelus Bayazitov.
Lenar Garipov was the first to present the agro-industrial complex of Tatarstan.
“The Republic of Tatarstan is one of the promising regions of Russia. Agriculture of the Republic of Tatarstan is one of the leading in Russia and ranks 5th in terms of gross agricultural output. According to preliminary results, among the Russian regions, the republic occupies: 1st place in milk production, 2nd place in potato production, 8th place in production of livestock and poultry for slaughter, 9th place in egg production.
Also, in order to expand the sales market, active work is being carried out to export products of the agro-industrial complex. The Halal direction is successfully developing, the volume of exports of which has increased 28 times since 2019,” said Lenar Garipov.
The First Deputy Minister also noted that the International Agro-Industrial Exhibition "AgroVolga" is being held in Tatarstan for the second year in a row, the XIV International Economic Forum "Russia - Islamic World: KAZANFORUM" 2023 was held, where delegations from 85 countries were present.
The guests expressed their interest in establishing mutually beneficial supplies between Tatarstan and China. Then Lenar Garipov invited guests from China on July 6-9 to the All-Russian Field Day.
