Agrosila modernizes the Seed Plant to improve the quality of the original seeds
The seed plant of the Kama agricultural firm, which is part of the Agrosila structure, is the largest seed plant in the Volga region, which produces original and elite seeds of various varieties of agricultural crops. This year, the third sizing and sorting line was installed in the seed shop, and now the commissioning of the installed equipment, software and control is underway. The holding invested 30 million rubles in modernization.
It is planned to put the new line into operation in October 2023. Thanks to this, fully mechanized work on cleaning, calibrating, sorting and simultaneous dressing of seed material of small batches of original seeds of higher reproductions on high-tech equipment will become possible. This will increase the quality indicators of seeds up to 99.9%.
Recall that earlier, after the reconstruction carried out in 2020, the production capacity of the plant increased to 700 tons of seeds per day. This became possible, among other things, thanks to the installation of a new color sorter with a capacity of 15 tons per hour, which made it possible to reduce seed losses from 25% to 5%. The software allows you to sample by size, color and light reflection from the surface of the seeds. Together with various types of cameras, the color sorter helps to exclude difficult-to-separate seeds from the flow, and determines as accurately as possible whether they belong to waste or seeds. In addition, in 2021, the line for the production of seeds of high reproduction and small seed crops was modernized, the capacity of the line is 10 tons per hour.
The production process from acceptance to storage of seed material brought to the condition is fully computerized and equipped with the most modern technological equipment. In total, the Seed Plant is equipped with three grain receiving lines. It can simultaneously receive 3 different types of crops - the acceptance capacity is 2,600 tons per day. The storage capacity of seed material of grain crops is 40 thousand tons per year. Ready seeds are packed in air-permeable polypropylene bags - Big-Bags with the possibility of packing 700-850 kg. Bick-Bags are stored in warehouses for finished products, designed for 16,000 tons of seeds. Elite seeds are stored in 3 warehouses of 2 thousand tons each.
