In Tatarstan, a beekeeper won a lawsuit against agrarians

24 May 2023, Wednesday

The day before, on May 23, 2023, it became known that the Arsk District Court ruled in favor of Nurully Zakirov, a beekeeper from the village of Sheka. Recall that he sued JSC Severny after the death of bees from poisoning with agrochemicals in the fields in July last year. Now Nurulla Zakirov will be able to receive compensation for the damage suffered.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan is actively working to prevent the death of bees from poisoning with pesticides and agrochemicals. In the republic, agronomists and farm managers were trained on the use of safe technologies for the cultivation of oilseeds. Meetings were held in municipal districts with the participation of beekeepers, farm managers and representatives of state bodies.

In addition, farmers were recommended to organize the sowing of honey plants in order to form protective belts and limit summer on cultivated fields. The first to implement this practice in 2022 were the Saidashev and Yarysh farms of the Tukaevsky district; it has shown its effectiveness. Today, the total area of honey plants is more than 30 thousand hectares.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Food strongly recommends that all instructions and requirements be strictly observed when carrying out agrotechnical work. If signs of poisoning of bees appear and facts of violation of established rules are found, it is necessary to immediately report to the Office of Agriculture and Food in municipal areas.
