“Feeding of winter crops and perennial grasses was carried out on an area of 590 thousand hectares. It is necessary to feed only 472 thousand hectares of winter crops and 405 thousand hectares of perennial grasses. All districts started harrowing crops and fallow on an area of 950 thousand hectares (31%). Moisture closure must be carried out on an area of over 3.0 million hectares,” he said.
26 districts of the republic have already started spring sowing. One of the first to sow grain came in Nurlatsky, Aznakayevsky, Aktanyshsky, Zainsky, Cheremshansky districts. 24.3 thousand hectares of spring grain crops have been sown.
“The weather for field work is favorable. Forecasters predict higher daily temperatures and clear weather. We set ourselves the task in a short time to carry out the closure of moisture (harrowing), since up to 40 tons of water evaporate per hectare per day, or 3-4 mm daily,” the minister urged.
The costs for carrying out spring field work this year will amount to more than 37 billion rubles. For seeds of cereals, legumes, the security is 130%. There are 421 thousand tons of seeds. There are no problems with purchased seeds either. Delivery continues, all seeds must arrive on time.
“For fertilizers, the accumulation is 71 kg of a.i. per hectare, which is 14 kg higher than last year. Removal continues, we plan to bring in more than 80 kg of a.i. per hectare. We will make every effort to successfully carry out the sowing season,” Marat Zyabbarov summed up.
Lyalya Kudermetova, director of the Tatarstan regional branch of Rosselkhozbank JSC, spoke about measures to support farmers. “According to the results of the 1st quarter of 2023, the Russian Agricultural Bank supported the agricultural complex of Tatarstan by 6 billion rubles, which is 23% more than in the same period last year. As part of the concessional lending program, the Tatarstan branch of the Russian Agricultural Bank issued 5.3 billion rubles, which is 18% more than in the previous calendar period. Of these, 800 million rubles were received by enterprises of small forms of management. More than 5 billion rubles were allocated by farmers to finance seasonal work, which is 20% more than a year earlier,” said Lyalya Kudermetova
