The XXIII Congress of the Association of Farmers of Tatarstan was held at the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan
Today, a meeting of the Council and the Presidium of the Association of Farmers, Farmsteads and Agricultural Consumer Cooperatives was held at the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan. The congress was attended by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Zyabbarov, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustem Gainullov, President of ACCOR Vladimir Plotnikov, President of the Association of Farmers, Farmsteads and Agricultural Consumer Cooperatives of the Republic of Tatarstan Kamiyar Baitemirov.
Farms are currently the most dynamic sector of the agro-industrial complex of the republic, annually increasing their share in the production of the most important types of agricultural products. Over the previous year, small businesses produced gross output worth 142.9 billion rubles, including 35.6 billion rubles for peasant farms.
“It increased by almost a quarter - from 597.2 to 735.8 thousand hectares. In 2021 it was 692.2 thousand ha, which is 30% more than in 2016. The number of cattle increased by almost 30%, from 82.4 to 108 thousand. Of these, 37.4 thousand are cows, the number of which has increased by 29% since 2016,” he said.
Farms were the first to start reviving orchards and berry plantations, growing fish and producing black caviar, and much more, thanks to grant support.
"All this became possible with the support of Rustam Minnikhanov, the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan and, of course, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan represented by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Zyabbarov and his team." - emphasized Kamiyar Baitemirov.
In addition to high production rates, farmers ensure the improvement of rural areas: they develop infrastructure, provide support to citizens' personal subsidiary plots, create new jobs, help preserve rural settlements and solve demographic issues.
At the end of the meeting, the ceremony of awarding the Winners of the republican competition "Family Farming Dynasty of the Republic of Tatarstan" was held. Departmental awards, certificates of honor and letters of thanks for many years of fruitful work were also presented.
