The XIV Congress of the National Union of Milk Producers was held in Moscow

Today, the XIV Congress of the National Union of Milk Producers took place in the capital of Russia. It was traditionally attended by the Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation Dmitry Patrushev, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Zyabbarov, Deputy Minister Lenar Garipov.

The meeting of representatives of the dairy business was traditionally devoted to summing up the results of 2022, discussing the results of Soyuzmoloko's work. During the congress, members of the union were able to ask their questions to the leadership of the Ministry of Agriculture, discuss the priorities for the development of the sector and exchange views on the problems of the industry.

“2022 has become a period of transformation for all sectors of the economy, and the agro-industrial complex is no exception. Nevertheless, despite all the difficulties, agricultural production showed growth - according to estimates, about 3.5%. The dairy business also contributed to this indicator.” - said Dmitry Patrushev.

The head of the Ministry of Agriculture stressed that the Government of the Russian Federation will continue to provide systemic measures of state support. At the same time, the amount of funding for the industry is increasing every year. So, in 2020, 38 billion rubles were allocated for this direction, in 2021 - 53 billion rubles, and in 2022, according to preliminary estimates, already 57.5 billion rubles.

The Ministry of Agriculture continues to develop tools to support the dairy industry, including the development of new measures to stimulate the modernization of livestock farms.

Speaking about the tasks for the future, Dmitry Patrushev noted that the key among them is the security of the domestic market. The corresponding indicator of the Food Safety Doctrine is 90%. According to the preliminary results of 2022, the level of self-sufficiency amounted to 84.3%, and within the framework of the Union State, together with Belarusian products, the provision of domestic needs is almost 100%.
