At the end of 2022, for the first time in the history of Tatarstan, they received 2 million tons of milk. This was announced today at the Government House by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan, Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Zyabbarov.
He noted that this was largely facilitated by the construction and commissioning of 22 high-tech dairy complexes. 19,000 heads of highly productive breeding heifers were brought to the republic to fill the complexes built.
Also, for the purpose of balanced feeding of livestock, 38 feed centers have been built and are being used now in 18 municipal districts of the republic.
“This whole set of measures made it possible to achieve an indicator of the average annual productivity of cows in agricultural formations by 7100 kg with an increase of 499 kg (107% by 2021). Favorable weather conditions also had a huge impact on our performance, thanks to which a 1.5-year supply of high-quality feed was prepared,” Marat Zyabbarov emphasized.
According to him, there are large reserves in the republic for modernizing livestock breeding technology and increasing livestock productivity.
This year, milk production is planned with an increase of 1.5%, meat and eggs - by 1%. Also, the construction of 25 dairy complexes and 22 feed centers is planned for 2023.
