In Tatarstan, the third stage of the educational project of the Russian Agricultural Bank "Farmer's School" is nearing completion. For two months, novice farmers studied the legal aspects of farm operations, financial business models, the basics of marketing, got acquainted with the latest agricultural technologies, and had internships at the leading agro-industrial enterprises of the republic. The educational program is implemented on the basis of the Kazan State Agrarian University with the assistance of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan.

At the moment, the participants of the "Farmer's School" present business projects. Graduate qualifying works are submitted in two areas: "Cattle breeding" and "Poultry".

Liliya Dmitrieva plans to grow rare species of birds and develop agro-tourism. “Poultry meat is very popular in Tatarstan, over the years the need for such a natural farm product will only grow. Therefore, I focus on increasing the production of poultry meat. Now in our personal subsidiary farm there are 8 species of birds (quail, turkeys, geese, indo-ducks, ducks, partridges, peacocks, emus). I would like to grow rare species of birds and engage in breeding. To do this, I plan to purchase a land plot and buy several more incubators. Already now I can note that I fully provide for my family with natural farm products, and this is not only poultry meat, but also sausages, semi-finished meat products, basturma, bread and cheeses. In the future, I would also like to develop agro-tourism, now I am taking the first steps in this direction: I conduct tours of the farm, master classes in poultry farming for adults and children, and photo shoots. Over time, I think I will provide complex services for guests in terms of accommodation, recreation, food, and leisure activities. I have a desire and goals, I will continue to grow,” Lilia Dmitrieva shared her impressions.

As a result of the training, the participants of the "Farmer's School" will receive a state diploma under the additional education program.

The Farmer's School is a federal educational project of Rosselkhozbank that combines the capabilities of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, regions, specialized universities, large businesses and farmers for the purpose of theoretical and practical training of professional personnel for agriculture.

The project has been implemented since the fall of 2020, more than 50 regions participated in it.
