On November 19, Agrosila completed the sugar beet harvest. Beet harvesters, reloaders, defoliators designed to cut beet tops and clean protruding tubers, as well as transport vehicles were involved in the harvesting.
The harvested area was 28,090 hectares, 992,394 tons of sugar beets were harvested. The average yield is 353 q/ha. It should be noted that last year the gross harvest of sugar beet was 640 thousand tons with an average yield of 224 q/ha.
The harvested beets are delivered to the Zainsky Sakhar JSC plant, which is part of the holding's structure. The 2022/2023 refining season started at the end of August. The forecast volume of processing is 902,322 tons of sugar beets. It is planned to produce 133,141 tons of sugar, 38,950 tons of molasses, 39,874 tons of granulated pulp.
Recall that Zainsky Sugar is one of the most powerful production sites in Russia. Over the past five years, the entire technological process, the juice cleaning department have been modernized at Zainskiy Sakhar, sites for active ventilation of piles have been equipped, a boiler house and a bagasse drying complex have been reconstructed, and a radial settling tank and a cooling pond have been built. This year, the plant completed the reconstruction of the lime-gas furnace building with the installation of the TPSh-200 lime-gas furnace. The processing capacity is designed for 10,000 tons of sugar beets per day.
