Prospects for cooperation between Hungary and Tatarstan discussed at the Ministry

Today, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan was visited by the Consul General of the Hungarian Consulate in Kazan Sergey Syuch. The meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan, Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Zyabbarov, First Deputy Minister Nail Zalakov, head of the project for the export of Halal products, head of investment projects of the agro-industrial complex of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustem Gainullov.

Marat Zyabbarov presented the possibilities of the agro-industrial complex of Tatarstan and spoke about current indicators.

“I would like to note that the Republic of Tatarstan is self-sufficient in many food items, we are trying to export the surplus. The volume of exports for 2021 amounted to $400.3 million. For the 10th of the current year, the export of agricultural products of the Republic of Tatarstan amounted to 292.04 million dollars, including products manufactured according to the Halal standard for 5 million. As for cooperation with Hungary, we have established imports with your country. Basically it is breeding cattle,” he said.

In turn, Sergei Syuch said that this year Hungary was overtaken by a catastrophic drought, which had not happened for several decades. He stressed that, just like in Tatarstan, agriculture is a key industry that is developing very dynamically. The guest expressed his intention for long-term and productive cooperation.
