Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin visited the exposition of the Republic of Tatarstan as part of the All-Russian Agro-Industrial Exhibition "Golden Autumn 2022". The President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov reported on the main economic indicators of the agro-industrial complex of the republic to the Chairman of the Government of Russia.
In particular, Rustam Minnikhanov recalled the results of the harvesting campaign in the republic. Thus, about 5 million tons of grain, 1.65 million tons of sugar beet, more than 800 thousand tons of potatoes and 260 thousand tons of vegetables were harvested in Tatarstan.
The President of Tatarstan emphasized that timely work on sowing and harvesting was carried out thanks to the prompt increase in the limits on concessional lending.
The Chairman of the Government of Russia asked how the support measures taken in terms of fertilizers affected the development of the industry. Representatives of the leadership of the Russian Association of Fertilizer Producers noted that the regions of the country actively used this opportunity.
Rustam Minnikhanov thanked Mikhail Mishustin for his support, who, in turn, noted the good work of the regions in this direction.
Recall that today the federal support measures also stimulate the development of the livestock industry. Due to subsidies, the number of farms has increased; this year, 14 livestock facilities for 16,000 heads of cattle have been built. By the end of this year, 6 more farms will be open.
“Our farmers actively use these support measures, and as a result, the republic has the highest milk yield in the country, almost 2 million tons,” Rustam Minnikhanov said.
