As Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of Tatarstan Marcel Makhmutov said, 3.9 million people live in the republic, of which 23%, or about 900 thousand, live in rural areas. “One of the priorities of the social policy of the region is to improve the level and quality of life of the rural population through the development of social and engineering infrastructure, creating conditions for improving the demographic situation, expanding the labor market in villages,” he stressed.

“In this regard, the creation of comfortable modern living conditions in the countryside is one of the most important tasks of the state, the relevance of which is now only increasing. To solve it, there are support measures laid down in 15 state programs. In this structure, the program “Integrated Development of Rural Territories” is a key tool”.
