The Ministry of Agriculture of Russia plans to allocate additional funds to Tatarstan from the federal budget in the amount of 679 million rubles. 658 million rubles are intended to subsidize the sold grain and 21 million rubles - to stimulate the production of oilseeds. It was announced today at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Zyabbarov.

The briefing was dedicated to the results of the 2022 harvesting campaign and was held via videoconference of all municipal districts.

“Given the demand for a preferential lending program, the balance of subsidies allows us to fully meet the needs of our farms in credit resources and expect to attract at least 12 billion rubles of credit funds,” the head of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan said.

Marat Zyabbarov noted that every year during the harvesting of grain crops, due to the large supply, a low purchase price for grain is formed. But after laying in storage, a systematic increase in prices begins. “This situation is typical for all regions of the country,” the minister specified.

In this regard, according to him, the Russian Government decided to allocate additional funds from the reserve fund to subsidize the grain sold to agricultural producers. In general, more than 1.3 billion rubles will be allocated for this support. It is planned to select and distribute funds in the fourth quarter of this year.

An additional solution for regulating the price situation could be the participation of the State Grain Fund in purchasing interventions. For example, the purchase price of food wheat ranges from 13.5 thousand to 14.5 thousand rubles, excluding VAT. The purchase of 300 thousand tons of grain is planned for Tatarstan, the head of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of Tatarstan summed up.

This year, Tatarstan has increased the rate of threshing grain crops compared to last year. This was announced during the briefing by Marat Zyabbarov. According to him, 5.2 million tons of grain have been harvested so far this year, while in 2021 the final figure was about 2.2 million tons. Marat Zyabbarov stressed that definitely more grain will be harvested this year. He also reminded that last year was dry - the drought was observed not only in Tatarstan, but throughout the Volga Federal District.

Recall that earlier the minister said that the republic had almost completed harvesting of grain crops. 1.4 million hectares have been harvested in the republic (excluding corn), which is 98% of the harvesting campaign. Another 26 thousand hectares are to be harvested. The leaders in harvesting are Arsky, Tetyushsky and Buinsky regions, the outsiders are Zelenodolsky, Verkhneuslonsky, Mendeleevsky regions.
