7 September 2022, Wednesday

The course of the harvesting campaign and the issues of state support for farmers were discussed today at an off-site meeting of the operational headquarters of the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia, which was held by the Minister of Agriculture Dmitry Patrushev in the Saratov region.

The head of the department noted that the Government had made changes to the mechanism for supporting grain producers, in particular, it became possible to advance the expenditures of farmers. 10 billion rubles are provided for this direction in 2022, some of which has already been sent to recipients.

“We expect that next week the money will go to the regions, and you will bring it to agricultural producers as quickly as possible. I would like to draw your attention to the fact that an additional 10 billion rubles have been approved for this measure. At the same time, it is possible to establish an increased subsidy rate per ton of sold grain. The regions, as before, have been given the opportunity to adjust the level of compensation,” Dmitry Patrushev stressed.

Also at the meeting, the pace of bringing support funds to the regions was considered. Currently, the national average is 70%, which is better than in previous years. The Minister urged representatives of the subjects not to slow down the dynamics. In addition, it is necessary to pay attention to the development in terms of capital construction projects for the integrated development of rural areas and land reclamation. By the end of the year, the planned volumes should be fully mastered.
