An equestrian festival dedicated to the Day of the Republic was held at the Kazan Hippodrome
Today there were races timed to coincide with the celebration of the Day of the City and the Republic. The event was attended by President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Zyabbarov, Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin and other officials.
On the site in front of the hippodrome, visitors to the festival could ride horses and try a variety of treats from regional consumer societies of the republic.
In the races for the Argamak prize on horses of the Tatar breed, Regina Zaripova turned out to be the fastest on the Ak Murza stallion.
In the race for the prize of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan at a distance of 1800 meters, master jockey Khamzat Ulubaev won on a red stallion Billy Grim.
Eduard Bolshakov won the race for the “Property of the Republic” prize on a bay stallion Bayram Yen.
The most spectacular were the races for the Prize of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan. They were attended by horses 3 years old and older. The prize fund of these races is 3 million rubles.
