Sabantuy-2022: festive events were held at the Kazan Hippodrome
Today, the races dedicated to the celebration of Sabantuy-2022 were held at the Kazan International Sports Complex. The event was attended by President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Zyabbarov, State Counselor of the Republic of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev, Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin and other officials.
On the site in front of hippodrome, visitors could ride horses, as well as try a variety of treats from regional consumer societies of the republic.
“It has already become a tradition to hold races at the hippodrome dedicated to the celebration of Sabantuy. The first race will be in honor of the grain growers of the republic, we will also see races of young riders. It is gratifying that every year there are more and more visitors to the equestrian festival,” said Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food Lenar Garipov.
In the race of grain growers of the Republic of Tatarstan, the world class master equestrian Eduard Bolshakov won the victory on the stallion Ai Kip Tabs. Ferzar Giniyatullin on the stallion Bars RT turned out to be the fastest in the races for the Argamak prize on horses of the Tatar breed.
In the race for the prize of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan at a distance of 1800 meters, the 3rd category jockey Alexander Alexandrov on the red stallion Brazen Zip won.
In the race for the prize of the Federation of Horse Breeding and Equestrian Sports of the Republic of Tatarstan, the master jockey of international class Gennady Bolshakov won on the bay stallion Next Chapter, the mayor's office of Kazan - master jockey of the 1st category Magomet Kappushev on the stallion Photon.
Also this year there were races for a prize of the 1100th anniversary of the adoption of Islam by the Volga Bulgaria. In them, at a distance of 1600 meters, the victory was won by the jockey of the 3rd category Timur Gafarov on the stallion Akbuzat Star.
