Construction of a large grain elevator in Zelenodolsk region started in Tatarstan
Today, on the territory of the Sviyazhsk Interregional Multimodal Logistics Center (SIMLC), the construction of a new elevator "Sviyazhsk-Zernoprodukt" was launched. The ceremony was attended by President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Zyabbarov, Director General of Firma August Alexander Uskov.
The cost of the project is estimated at 2.4 billion rubles. The investor is a resident of the SMMLC - the company "August-Agro". The design capacity of the elevator will be 112.5 thousand tons of one-time grain storage.
The location of the site will allow grain to be transported by road, rail and water. A feature of the elevator will be a high speed of shipment - 700 tons per hour. As a result, the period of grain loading on river-sea vessels and trains will be no more than 10 hours.
Rustam Minnikhanov noted the successful cooperation between Tatarstan and the August company. In 2019, the Avgust-Alabuga plant for the production of plant protection products was built in the Alabuga SEZ. In addition, the company is developing modern agricultural enterprises in a number of regions of the republic. “The issue of food security is number one today. Tatarstan needs to produce at least 4 million tons of grain. Without modern high-quality storage and processing of crops, it is difficult to predict any activity,” he said.
The President of Tatarstan stressed that the republic would support the agro-industrial projects of August. “We see how seriously you approach the implementation of projects. I would like to thank you for your active work and trust. I want to note that the elevator will be built in the most promising site of our republic,” added Rustam Minnikhanov.
The implementation of the project will provide additional employment for almost 90 people.
The general director of the company "August" Alexander Uskov thanked the leadership of the republic for supporting the project. “In Tatarstan, there is a completely unique investment climate.
