According to Rosstat, in 2021, more than 1.46 million tons of fresh vegetables and green crops products were received in Russia, taking into account spring greenhouses, but, despite the growth in domestic production, issues of import substitution and food security remain relevant. In connection with the economic situation, the significance of the seminar is seriously increasing as a platform for a broad discussion of actual problems.
“In order to provide the population of the republic with vegetable products of its own production, this year the area under potatoes and vegetables in the organized sector is planned to be increased to 6.6 thousand hectares (+ 0.7 thousand hectares by 2021). There are also more than 110 hectares of greenhouses in the republic, including spring greenhouses,” Marat Zyabbarov noted in his speech.
In Tatarstan, annually for more than 10 years, farms producing products in winter and spring greenhouses have been provided with subsidies from the budget at the rate of 30 rubles per 1 sq. meter. In general, 13 million rubles were allocated for this area in 2022 To date, 8.7 million rubles have been brought to greenhouse farms.
“The Republic of Tatarstan aims to develop greenhouse vegetable growing while maintaining existing state support measures,” the minister said. Ilshat Ganiev spoke about the results of the work of the Maisky greenhouse complex. LLC TK "Maisky" is the largest producer of protected ground vegetables in the republic. The plant annually produces more than 42 thousand tons of products, which is 85% of the total production of greenhouse vegetables in the territory of the Republic of Tatarstan.
“Throughout its entire activity, the Maisky greenhouse complex has been actively engaged in issues of a high culture of production of environmentally friendly products. All greenhouses of the complex are equipped with advanced technologies and equipment in the field of ecology, energy and resource saving,” he stressed.
Tomorrow, the participants of the seminar, who came from all over Russia, will visit the greenhouse complex and visually get acquainted with the work.
