Today the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov visited the agricultural fair in the agro-industrial park "Kazan". He was accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Zyabbarov and Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin.
Farmers of the Sabinsky, Nurlatsky and Baltasinsky regions, as well as a number of agricultural enterprises of the republic, presented their products at the fair. In total, goods worth 14 million rubles were imported. These included potatoes and vegetables - 25.3 tons, beef - 6.5 tons, poultry meat - 1 ton, draft milk - 9.3 tons, cheeses - 1.1 tons, butter - 1.2 tons, sugar - 60 tons, flour - 8 tons, cereals - 4 tons, eggs - 72.4 thousand pieces.
Rustam Minnikhanov toured the fairground and trade pavilions of the agro-industrial park, got acquainted with the assortment and prices for the main categories of products, and also talked with buyers and sellers.
Recall that traditional agricultural fairs began on March 19 Marat Zyabbarov noted that this year there is a high demand for sugar, flour, and vegetables. Therefore, the volume of deliveries of these goods has increased.
“Fairs have a great social significance. Traditionally, residents can purchase quality products at prices lower than in retail chains,” the minister said.
